Learn how to Copy a File Request, add followers to a file request, and track all user activity.
If you send the same set of documents to multiple clients, the file request copy feature provided by Edi will speed up your file request process by creating a duplicate request of the same information as an existing file request, saving you from re-adding documents and creating file requests individually.
In order to copy a file request which can be used for another client:
1. Go to the Clients Portal
Alternatively, click on the Portal tab of a specific record
2. Click + Request files
3. Follow the steps indicated in this tutorial to create your initial file request
4. Once you have created your file request, click the Copy button to create a copy of your file request
5. Complete the information requested in the window which appears (select the record, workspace and add the guests who will receive the request), then click Continue
You can also add followers to ensure that all team members who need to be aware of a file request can receive notifications in relation to the request. To add followers to a file request:
1. Create your file request or open the previously created file request
2. Click on the Followers icon at the top of the screen
3. Click Add users
4. Type the email address of the user you wish to add as a follower of the request, or click the arrow and select from the team members listed
You can also view the activity log of a request to check who completed certain actions in relation to a request. The activity log is accessible by clicking More actions > View activity log from a created file request. The activity log will open in a window on the right side of the screen
Users can view all actions related to a file request, who actioned them and view the date/time stamps of the actions which may be used for the purpose of auditing a request. Users can also filter the activity log to just see internal actions or external actions that have occurred with the file request
